Terms of use
Draft for legal review. This page describes how the site works today. It will be reviewed by counsel, and the operator and contact details added, before launch.
About this site
Open Learning Feed is a concept in development, published by the Open Learning Feed project. The specification, guides, validator and sample API on this site are early versions and may change or be withdrawn at any time.
Example data
All examples use Example University, a fictional school, and other invented organizations. Every name, price, date and figure in the examples is made up. Nothing on this site is an offer of education, a statement about any real institution, or financial advice.
No warranty
The site, the sample API, the validator and all content are provided as is, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. A passing validator result means a feed matches the format described here; it does not mean its contents are true.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Open Learning Feed project is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of this site, its data or its sample API.
Using the sample API
- The sample API serves only the fictional example data. Do not rely on it in production.
- Do not overload it, probe it for weaknesses or use it to reach other systems.
- Access may be limited or stopped at any time.
The specification and code
The Open Learning Feed specification is intended to be published under an open license. The license for the specification and for the site's code will be stated here before launch. Until then, you are welcome to read and try the specification and examples.
Third-party names
Names of other products and organizations are used only to describe them. See Trademarks and licenses.
